Ready to stop Stuffing Your Face? Then STOP obsessing over fat… STOP counting calories… STOP worrying about how much meat you’re eating and finally START the one diet that can chase away the pounds, prevent diabetes and protect the brain and heart at the same time.
It’s the high-fat, low-carb diet, of course. And new research proves, AGAIN, that the fats in this great-tasting healthy lifestyle don’t lead to overeating.
Sugar lights up the reward center of the brain in ways that fats never can despite the fact that fats are, when it comes down to it, far more delicious.
After all, what would you rather have: a nice thick juicy steak, or a lollypop?
I rest my case.
In the new study, more than 100 healthy teens were given milkshakes with varying levels of fats and sugars as their brains were scanned. Fat content almost didn’t matter. What did matter was sugar: the more sugar in the shake, the crazier the brain’s reward center went.
The biggest burst of activity came with a shake loaded in sugar, but relatively low in fat. The putamen, insula and rolandic operculum lit up like a fireworks display on the 4th of July.
Together, these three parts of the brain make up the food reward system, or the part that causes you to eat until you would explode.
The researchers tried upping the fat levels in that high-sugar shake, but the extra fat didn’t make a difference at all.
Just the sugar. And that is why people overeat: SUGAR.
This study focused on pure sugar, but all carbs have a similar effect, leading to cravings, hunger, overeating and eventually weight gain and obesity. Fats, meanwhile, do the opposite, leaving you feeling full and satisfied and far less likely to overeat.
So make this year the year you get you body and your health under control. Finally start a low-carb diet of your own and watch the pounds melt away.
Step one: Get rid of the margarine and stock up on butter.
Butter is back!
It’s one of the most encouraging bits of dietary news I’ve read in a long time: Americans are going back to basics.
They’re going back to butter.
Sales of natural, farm-fresh, old-fashioned butter are skyrocketing to their highest levels in 40 years as people turn away from nasty, unhealthy, not-quite-food margarine and other “buttery spreads” and return to the delicious butter they never should’ve given up in the first place.
Despite what you’ve heard, butter is loaded with the essential fats needed to protect the heart, and switching away from it has been nothing less than the most disastrous public health experiment in all of human history.
It’s no coincidence that heart disease rates have climbed as the government pushed to replace butter with margarine. Studies, including a major clinical trial, have shown that using plant oils instead of butter doubles the risk of death from heart disease.
The benefits don’t end with the heart, either. Butter can also protect against cancer. It’s even a natural lubricant for your joints, fighting the calcification that leads to arthritis.
Eventually, the feds will be forced to admit all this. They’re already halfway there with the recent ban on trans fats, the unnatural fats created largely in the effort to replace butter with plant oils.
Don’t wait for them to complete the turnaround. Protect yourself and your family today by putting butter, steak and all your favorite animal fats back on the menu.
Along with protecting your heart, a diet high in these natural fats and low in carbohydrates can help you to lose weight without counting calories or eating nasty diet food.
If you’re ready to finally put your diet struggles behind you, to finally make a healthy decision, break out the butter (but toss the bread).
A Low Carb Diet Twice a Week Can Lead to Weight Loss
Make a deal to save your life.
It’s time for another edition of “Let’s Make a Deal” — but I’m not hiding a new car or a ZONK behind door number three.
Heck, I don’t even have a door number three.
I’ve got just two doors for you, and I’m going to let you peek behind both of them right now. Behind Door Number One, there’s you as you are right now — getting older, fatter, sicker and weaker.
And behind Door Number Two…
A BRAND-NEW YOU!
Thinner… stronger… healthier… and in such great shape you’ll seem YOUNGER even as you get older.
Impossible? Not if you commit to the high-fat, low-carb lifestyle I’ve been telling you about for years.
But let’s say you’re not ready… let’s say you don’t quite believe it… let’s say you just don’t think you can pull it off.
In That Case… LET’S MAKE A DEAL!
Instead of diving into the full-time low-carb lifestyle that I know will work for you, just try it out for two days a week. You can do that, right?
And if you do, you’ll see big-time results in just one month — with one new study showing that women who cut carbs twice a week lose an average of 9 pounds in four weeks.
That’s DOUBLE the weight loss of women who starved themselves on a full-time diet of 1,500 calories a day — and the benefits don’t end there. The study also found improvements in both insulin and leptin levels. (And I’ll bet you a steak that men will see similar results.)
Now, the new study presented at a recent symposium seems to suggest you can leave it at two days a week — but that’s just not going to cut it over the long run.
So here’s the rest of the deal: If you try it… if you find it works (and I know you will)… and if you want even more weight loss, heart protection and overall good health for years to come… then turn that twice-a-week diet into a full-time lifestyle.
You’ll look and feel better than you have in ages — and you just won’t find a better deal than that, my friend.
I’m not done with dieting yet. Keep reading for one you SHOULDN’T try.
‘Fast Diets’ Won’t Work
The Trendy new diet is all risk, no benefit.
It’s called the “Fast Diet,” but you’d have to be a little slow to believe it would actually make you healthy.
Just look at the details: Pig out on whatever you want, as much as you want five days a week.
Fast food? Eat up! Snack cakes? Dig in! Soda? Slurp away — because that’s all A-O-K on this diet, as long as you follow the other main rule: Starve yourself twice a week. Stick to 600 calories a day on those two days, and you can atone for any dietary sins the other five.
The diet’s creators say you can lose about a pound a week on this diet. But SO WHAT? You can lose some weight on almost any diet — even the potato diet, Twinkie diet or candy diet — and maybe you can even lose some weight on this diet.
But even if you did — and even if you managed to not only lose the weight, but also keep it off — do you REALLY believe you could possibly be healthy chowing down on double cheeseburgers with cola and fries five days a week?
No stinkin’ way.
This ain’t rocket science, my friend. If you want to lose weight, keep it off and get healthy at the same time, there’s one diet that’s been backed by both time and science — and that’s a back-to-basics natural diet low in carbohydrates and high in animal fats and proteins.
And as I just told you, now it’s easier than ever to get started.
So skip the fads, gimmicks and trends. If you’re overweight or obese, it IS time to lose some pounds.
But do it the right way… or don’t bother doing it at all.
