Cannabidiol (CBD) – Everything You Ever Needed To Know!

I want to begin this article with a disclaimer. Although I do not condone the use of illegal substances my main purpose in this blog is to share what may be important health information that you may benefit from the knowledge of. This is irrespective of the opinions of government agencies and bureaucracies. Also irrespective of the propaganda put forth by big Pharma and the government. The information in this article is solely for your use and knowledge to understand that there are natural alternative sources of healing and disease prevention other than you relying on the use of expensive lifelong drugs.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound found in the cannabis plant. Like its infamous cousin THC, CBD is a cannabinoid and is produced in the glandular trichomes (the tiny, resin-producing “hairs” on flowers and leaves) of certain varieties of the cannabis plant. Also like THC, it is a highly medicinal compound and has been found to be effective in treating numerous different illnesses of varying severity.

Like THC and most other cannabinoids, the CBD molecule is comprised of hydrogen, carbon and oxygen atoms. In fact, CBD and THC are practically identical in terms of molecular structure – they both have the chemical formula C21H30O2 (21 carbon, 30 hydrogen, and 2 oxygen atoms), and only differ from each other in their arrangement and the position of their chemical bonds.

How Does CBD Work in the Body?

The biological action of CBD has not been fully described in the scientific literature, and it’s likely that we’ll have to do a great deal more research to really get to grips with what it is doing in the body, and what it has the potential to do if used correctly.

Now, scientists are beginning to paint a basic picture of what’s happening – and surprisingly, it seems to be very, very different from the way THC works. As we explained in our recent post What Is The Endocannabinoid System?, THC acts in a similar way to the body’s own natural endocannabinoid, anandamide. It binds to the cannabinoid receptors, which are complex proteins found in the junctions between nerve endings.

But CBD doesn’t bind to these receptors, at least not to any great extent. Instead, it acts on certain other non-cannabinoid receptors and various other processes that are not dependent on receptors at all. However, it still has its place within the endocannabinoid system, as its activity affects the activity of other cannabinoids and endocannabinoids.

For example, it can delay the reabsorption of anandamide. In typical conditions, anandamide is produced by the nerve endings, then quickly reabsorbed the same nerve endings! But CBD gets in the way of that process, meaning that the effects of anandamide will continue to be felt in the body for longer.

CBD vs THC

Unlike THC, cannabidiol does not cause a psychoactive effect in the user. It is thought that the psychoactive effect of THC is related to its ability to bind to the CB1 receptor, which CBD does not do, at least not to a significant degree.

For this reason, it is not subject to the same restrictions as THC under international law, and it can be legally bought and sold in many countries. However, because of its association with cannabis, there are countries that have placed restrictions on its sale and use in medicine.

Furthermore, now that many countries are beginning to recognize its usefulness in medicine, it has sparked off regulations that actually make it less available, due to the purported need to follow the approval process and have it properly licensed and marketed as medicine. For example, in the UK, the medicines regulatory body recently issued a statement limiting the sale of cannabidiol – although many retailers report that there has been no enforcement and it has effectively not changed anything.

What Medical Conditions Can CBD Treat?

The medicinal effects of CBD have been studied for decades, and dozens of studies from researchers all over the world have shown that it can benefit a wide range of illnesses. Here’s a quick breakdown of what we know – for a more in-depth discussion, take a look at our recent post Conditions You Can Treat With Cannabidiol (CBD).

Strong evidence of the medicinal potential of cannabidiol has come from infant sufferers of rare, treatment-resistant forms of epilepsy, such as Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. In fact, several high-CBD varieties of medicinal cannabis have been developed in recent years with the primary intention of helping children afflicted with Dravet syndrome.

CBD has repeatedly shown potential in treating various seizure-related conditions as well as epilepsy. For example, some sufferers of Parkinson’s disease apparently experience an almost instantaneous effect on tremors and shakiness after taking a dose of CBD oil.

It’s important to remember that research into the effects of cannabidiol and other cannabis compounds is still in the early stages. The majority of existing research is on animals and not humans, so their usefulness is limited – and the few studies on humans aren’t always conclusive. However, as medicinal cannabis legislation continues to spread worldwide, it should become easier to investigate these crucial aspects of cannabinoid medicine.

How Can CBD Be Used?

How you choose to administer your cannabidiol depends greatly on the form it takes. If you are using a whole-plant extract or oil, you are best advised to ingest it orally or sublingually (beneath the tongue, so that it penetrates the mucous membranes and rapidly enters the bloodstream). You may also choose to add it to foods or drinks, such as smoothies, shakes or salad oils.

Otherwise, if you have access to high-CBD cannabis flowers, you can smoke, vape or make extracts from them in exactly the same manner as high-THC cannabis. CBD Caps are also a very effective method.

On the other hand, you may have CBD in the form of a purified, crystalline isolate. This type of CBD can be dabbed, dissolved under the tongue, dissolved in oil to make edibles, smoked, or vaped! For more information on using purified CBD crystals, check out our post How To Consume CBD!

Legal Status of CBD

CBD is not subject to worldwide prohibition via international treaties – although certain states and countries may have legislation in place controlling it or banning it entirely. So legality and availability depend on your location, but in worldwide terms, it’s generally easier – or at least not impossible – to obtain via legal channels.

Where Can Patients Source CBD From?

Depending on location, it may be possible to obtain CBD products over-the-counter at your local pharmacy, or possibly at health food or alternative medicine stores. However, care should be taken to avoid low-strength or poor-quality products in such locations.

In some countries, you may be able to obtain it via a doctors’ prescription. This has traditionally been difficult as cannabidiol has not been officially approved as a medicine in many countries. However, this is beginning to change – recently, the Dutch company Bedrocan received market approval for its drug Epidiolex, which is essentially a whole-plant extract of a high-CBD cannabis strain, for the treatment of epilepsy. This will hopefully pave the way for other CBD-based medications to get to the patients that could benefit from them.

However, if doctors, pharmacists or health stores can’t supply the CBD you are looking for, there are online vendors that will ship to a wide range of locations, discreetly and quickly. With a little knowledge and research, you should be able to find a supplier that will ship you CBD in the desired form, directly to your chosen destination.

Oil Pulling

Research Finally Reveals What Some Have Thought All Along. Coconut oil is an awesome tropical oil with many health benefits.

Many people use coconut oil for something called Oil Pulling – which is kind of like using an oil as a mouthwash.

Apparently, there are quite a few studies that support this process and a lot of people swear by it.

It is claimed to whiten your teeth, make your breath fresher and lead to massive improvements in oral health.

What is Oil Pulling and How Does it Work?

Oil pulling involves swishing oil around the mouth and has been used for thousands of years as an Indian folk remedy. In order to oil pull, you put a tablespoon of oil in your mouth, then swish it around for 15-20 minutes. The main benefit of doing this is that it reduces the number of harmful bacteria in the mouth.

There are actually thousands of different types of bacteria in the mouth. Some of them are friendly, others are not. The bacteria in the mouth create a “biofilm” on the teeth – a thin layer that they use to adhere to the surface. This is what we know as “plaque.”

Having some plaque on your teeth is normal, but if it gets out of hand it can cause all sorts of problems, including bad breath, yellow teeth, gum inflammation, gingivitis, and cavities. The way oil pulling works is simple. When you swish the oil around your mouth, the bacteria “get stuck” in it and dissolve in the liquid oil. Basically, you remove a large amount of the bacteria and plaque in your mouth each time you do this.

I Personally Prefer Coconut Oil

Traditionally, the Indian folk remedy used other oils, such as sesame oil or sunflower oil. Oil pulling should work with pretty much any oil you choose, but I prefer coconut oil because it has many health benefits.

The Lauric Acid (one of the fatty acids in coconut oil) is also proven to be antimicrobial… it can kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The taste of coconut oil is also fairly pleasant compared to other oils. I found it rather disgusting at first having my mouth full of oil, but I got used to it after a few days.

Now let’s look at a few studies on oil pulling…

Oil Pulling Can Reduce Harmful Bacteria in The Mouth

Streptococcus Mutans is one of the main bacteria in the mouth and a key player in plaque buildup and tooth decay. In a study from 2008 with 20 boys, oil pulling (using sesame oil) caused a reduction in the number of Streptococcus Mutans in the plaque in as little as 2 weeks.

It was not as effective as a Chlorhexidine mouthwash, but much cheaper and MUCH less nasty.

Oil Pulling Can Reduce Plaque and Gingivitis

Gingivitis is caused by inflammation of the gums and happens when the immune system starts attacking the bacteria in the plaque.
Another study compared oil pulling and chlorhexidine in adolescents with plaque-induced gingivitis. Both oil pulling and chlorhexidine mouthwash were effective against gingivitis.

Oil Pulling Can Reduce Bad Breath

Bad breath, otherwise known as halitosis, is in many cases (but not all) caused by the smell of chemicals and gases produced by bacteria in the mouth. If you can get rid of some of these bacteria, you reduce bad breath.

In a third study of 20 adolescents, oil pulling therapy significantly reduced all markers for bad breath and was just as effective as chlorhexidine mouthwash.

How to Oil Pull

Oil pulling is incredibly simple and effective.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Put about a tablespoon of oil in your mouth.

2. Swish the oil around your mouth for about 15-20 minutes.

3. Spit out the oil, then brush your teeth.

If you use coconut oil like me, then you may have to chew on the oil for a minute or so to let it melt, because it is solid at room temperature. It turns liquid at 77°F. It is best to do this on an empty stomach before you brush your teeth. You can also do it while taking a shower in the morning.

Put the oil in your mouth, swish it around while in the shower and try to “push” and “pull” the oil between your teeth. When you get out of the shower, spit out the oil into the trash or toilet (not the sink… it can clog), rinse your mouth with water and then brush your teeth.

There is no need to use a lot of force here. If oil pulling causes pain in your facial muscles, then just relax a bit. Try using less oil next time and don’t swish it around too forcefully.

What to Expect

You will definitely notice that your breath is fresher and your teeth look a lot cleaner… both whiter and shinier. I’ve never had any dental problems, but I can see how this could have benefits for people that have them.

There are a lot of wild claims about oil pulling online and I don’t believe all of them. However, oil pulling IS effective at reducing the harmful bacteria in your mouth and improving oral and dental health.

Given that inflammation can cause all sorts of health problems, it does make sense that reducing inflammation in the gums and mouth could lead to benefits for overall health as well. Perhaps this is the reason why many people report improvements in health issues that really have nothing to do with the mouth.

Natural Cure For Cancer With A 90% Cure Rate

Dr. Johanna Budwig Turned 2 Simple Ingredients Into a Cure For Cancer With A 90% Cure Rate

Have you ever heard of Dr. Johanna Budwig? She was a nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine six times. The world knows Dr. Budwig for her success in curing 90% of her cancer patients.

The best thing about this is the fact that Dr. Budwig didn’t use any chemicals or toxins. Her natural treatments turned into the worst nightmare of pharmacists, and many tried to keep her silent.

“I have the answer to cancer, but American doctors won’t listen. They come here and observe my methods and are impressed. Then they want to make a special deal so they can take it home and make a lot of money. I won’t do it, so I’m blackballed in every country,” Dr. Budwig explained in one occasion.

The cure for cancer exists, but the BigPharma will never admit it. They earn on the millions of deaths each year. Dead people can’t bring profits. Chemical-laden drugs, radiation, acidosis, and malnutrition make the cancer even worse.

Acidosis is a condition in which the body is overly acidic, and cells can’t get enough oxygen. Healthy people have a blood oxygen level of 98-100, and it’s only 60 in cancer patients.

Instead of oxygen, the blood is “flooded” with carbon dioxide. The lack of oxygen fuels the fire, and tumors grow bigger. Let’s not forget that cancer cells need sugar to thrive.

Dr. Otto Warburg supported the theory, and won the Nobel Prize in 1931.

Oxygen is the strongest weapon in the fight against cancer. Dr. Budwig managed to boost the supply of oxygen in a better way than other scientists. Her protocol alkalizes the body, and provides enough oxygen. Mutated cells can’t grow in this condition.

According to Dr. Budwig, you need to ingest flaxseed oil and quark cheese. She also mentioned that popular diets worsen the condition, and created a special diet regimen that doesn’t involve any dangerous fat or foods that cause cellular oxygen starvation.

Her patents received healthy foods and essential fatty acids.

Dr. Budwig outlined the importance of sunlight. The sun is the greatest source of vitamin D3. This vitamin is known for his amazing anticancer effect.

In Dr. Budwig’s treatment, patients go through two stages. In the first, they eat quark/cottage cheese and flaxseed oil. She was aware of the fact that human body synthesizes omega-3 fats from flaxseed oil in the amount it needs.

“Without these fatty acids, the respiratory enzymes cannot function and the person suffocates, even when he is given oxygen-rich air. A deficiency in these highly unsaturated fatty acids impairs many vital functions.

First of all, it decreases the person’s supply of available oxygen. We cannot survive without air and food; nor can we survive without these fatty acids,” the doctor explained.

Her patients received the natural remedy orally, and terminally ill patients received flaxseed oil in their enema. The second part of the therapy involves a special 6-month diet.

Dr. Budwig’s Anticancer Recipe

Ingredients:

2-5 tbsp. flaxseed oil, 10 capsules or 1-3 tbsp. freshly ground flaxseeds
1 cup quark cheese
A dash of cayenne pepper
Make sure your cheese is NOT made from homogenized milk. The oil or the seeds should be used right after being exposed to air. Combine the ingredients using a wooden spoon. Take your dose at least once a day.

Stage 2

The diet!

Eat freshly prepared food
Don’t eat butter/margarine, processed foods, soft drinks, sugar, mayonnaise, toppings, salad dressings, non-organic/non-range-fat meat, pure animal fats, artificial sweeteners, high-fructose corn syrup, medication, tap/bottled water
Use grape juice to sweeten your fresh juices
Eat chemical-free foods
Drink a cup of tea three times a day (grape, peppermint, rose hip) and sweeten it with natural sweeteners (Stevia, Truvia, etc.)
Drink fresh juices made of celery, carrots and red beet

Extra tips

Don’t use cosmetics, sunscreen, white flour products, white rice, white salt, white sugar, chlorine compounds, fish oil/non-flax source of omega-3 fats, table salt, hydrogenated oils, soy/canola oil

Use high-quality unbleached sea salt
Take a teaspoon of cold-pressed organic coconut oil every day
Use cold-pressed, organic flax seed oil that’s protected from air, heat, and light
Use chlorophyll supplements
Take up to 5 grams of vitamin C every day (don’t take more, otherwise your kidneys will suffer a great damage)
Drink green juices every day
Use safer alternatives to your detergents, bleaches, and soaps

Only three of Dr. Budwig’s books are translated in English:

The Hidden Cause of Sinus Infections & How To Destroy It

Found in 96% of Mayo Study Participants
By Dr. Joseph Mercola and Rachael Droege

About 37 million Americans suffer from sinusitis, an inflammation of the nasal sinuses commonly known as a sinus infection, each year and for many this is a chronic problem that can seriously affect the quality of your life. Most cases of sinusitis are treated with antibiotics, which may help to cover up symptoms in the short-term but are a disaster when used in the long-term.

Sinusitis can be acute or chronic, and can last for months or years if not addressed. Symptoms of sinus infection include:

● Runny nose
● Nasal congestion
● Thick, colored nasal drainage
● Cough
● Head congestion
● Headache
● Post-nasal drip
● Facial pain or swelling
● Toothache
● Fatigue
● Diminished sense of smell and taste
● Fever

And despite constant treatment with antibiotics, many people’s sinusitis continues to return. According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, not only is sinusitis one of the most expensive disorders in the United States, but also its prevalence is on the rise, indicating that the common treatment methods are not getting to the root of the problem.

So what is the root of the problem? Researchers have found that most cases of chronic sinusitis are not caused by infection but are actually an immune disorder caused by fungus. In a 1999 study, the researchers discovered that fungal organisms were present in the mucus of 96 percent of patients who had surgery for chronic sinusitis, and inflammatory cells were clumped around the fungi, which meant the condition was an immune disorder caused by fungus.

Fungus and mold spores are in the air all the time and are commonly inhaled so most people have fungi lodged in the mucus lining of the sinuses. However, only people who are prone to chronic sinusitis will experience an immune response to the fungi that results in the symptoms of sinusitis.

They took the research a bit further and in the next study found that a fungicide was effective in decreasing inflammation and nasal swelling among participants suffering from chronic sinusitis. The researchers are hoping the study will lead to the development of new antifungal medications to treat the condition.

Although antifungals may be more effective than antibiotics–antibiotics make fungal infections worse–there are other steps you can take to lessen your risk of sinus infections by getting at the underlying cause.

Make Your Body Less Hospitable to Fungus

As the body attempts to destroy the fungus, the immune system damages the sinus membranes, which causes the symptoms of sinusitis, the researchers say. To combat the fungus and prevent the immune system reaction, you’ll need to create an environment that makes it more difficult for fungus to thrive. Here are the top natural cures for sinus infection:

Avoid Eating Sugar or Grains

Fungus feeds on sugar and grains (which break down to sugar in your body), so reducing or eliminating these foods is necessary to keep fungus under control.

Consume Fish or Cod Liver Oil

Consume a high quality cod liver oil or fish oil every day. The high order omega-3 fats, DHA and EPA are essential to maintaining and improving your immune system. Don’t get fooled by taking any general omega-3 supplement. The ALA in flax seed oil won’t give you the same benefits. Not only will cod liver oil or fish oil improve your sinus infection, but they will also improve your health and brain and reduce your risk of cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Eat Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid, which is known for being antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal. However, be careful with which oil you choose, as many coconut oils contain fungal toxins. This is because they are commonly made with copras, or dried coconuts, which are often contaminated with mycotoxins. So in order to fully enjoy the benefits of this coconut oil, you will want to be sure that you find a company that uses only fresh coconuts to make their oil, like the Tropical Traditions virgin coconut oil on this site.

Avoid Eating Mycotoxic Foods that are contaminated with mycotoxins (fungal toxins).

How Temperature and Humidity Can Make You Feel “Stuffed Up”

Rhinitis is the medical term for “stuffy nose.” Vasomotor rhinitis is a non-allergic condition, characterized by chronic runny nose, sneezing, and nasal congestion. Changes in temperature and humidity have already been identified as a potential triggers. (Other triggers include strong odors, perfumes, smoke, fumes, and bright sunlight.)

The results of the featured study indicate that the sensory feedback from nasal airflow can contribute to the feeling of congestion, and that by altering temperature and humidity levels of inhaled air, you may experience some relief.

The authors of the study suggest that the interaction between temperature and humidity influence “nasal cooling” as the air moves through your nasal cavity. This nasal cooling is detected by “sensors” inside your nose, which stimulate the sensation of air flow being either easy or obstructed, with cooler air resulting in feelings of less obstruction. Essentially, nasal congestion can be sensory related.

According to lead author Kai Zhao, Ph.Dd, a bioengineer, an effective treatment for nasal congestion may need to include restoring optimal humidity and temperature to the patient’s nasal airflow.

What’s the Ideal Level of Humidity?

According to Dr. Robert Ivker, D.O., former President of the American Holistic Medical Association, the ideal level of relative humidity for sinus health is between 35-45 percent. This level is also generally recommended to avoid mold damage in your home. (To accurately determine the relative humidity in your home you would use a hygrometer, available in most home improvement stores.) In the featured study, the two types of air conditions associated with the most effective decrease in feelings of congestion were:

Cold air, and Dry air at room temperature
If your home or office is too humid (above 45 percent), you may want to consider reducing the amount of moisture in the air, as excessive levels may also cause mold and fungi growth that could wreak havoc on your health—it may even be the root cause if you’re suffering from chronic sinus infections. To decrease humidity, you can:

● Use a dehumidifier
● Run the air conditioner
● Take colder and shorter showers
● Install a fan in your kitchen and bathrooms, and leave them on for a while after you’re done cooking or showering

You must be VERY careful about making sure your humidity levels are not too high. This does not need to be due to high outdoor humidity but more commonly is due to some type of water intrusion in the home from a leaky roof, foundation or plumbing. The high humidity will cause mold to grow and could devastate your health as I have written about previously. So the key is to find the cause of the increased humidity and repair it. It would be wise to use a large commercial dehumidifer in your home to lower the humidity until the problem is fixed.

However, very dry air is also known to increase feelings of congestion because drying out your sinus membranes can irritate them further. So depending on your individual circumstances, if the air in your home is excessively dry, then increasing the humidity may help.

To increase humidity, you can:

● Use a vaporizer or humidifier
● Create a steam bath by taking a hot shower, or filling your sink with hot water, then placing a towel over your head as you lean over the sink
● Breathe in the steam from a hot cup of tea

Do You Have a Sinus Infection?

Sinus infections (sinusitis) affect over 39 million Americans every year. It typically occurs when the mucous membranes in your nose and sinuses become irritated by a cold, allergy, or pollution, for example, which then cause them to become inflamed. Once inflamed, the motion of your cilia (the tiny hairs that coat the mucous membranes and are responsible for moving mucus over their surfaces) slows down. At the same time, the irritation stimulates your mucous glands to secrete more mucus than usual to dilute the bacteria.

As a result, mucus gets trapped in your sinuses, where it can easily become infected.

It’s important to understand that antibiotics can spell disaster for this problem. If used long-term, they can lead to very serious complications that may be very difficult to remediate against, including chronic yeast infections and impaired immune function. Furthermore, as I will discuss below, the vast majority of chronic sinusitis cases may be due to exposure to mold or fungi rather than bacteria, which antibiotics will have no effect on at all.

Symptoms of sinus infection include:

● Congestion and pressure around your eyes, cheeks and forehead
● Thick, green or yellow mucus
● Toothache
● Cold symptoms lasting more than 10 days
● Postnasal drip (excess mucus dripping down the back of your throat)
● Fatigue

Beware: Sinusitis is Often Misdiagnosed

The problem with sinus issues is that that they’re very easily misdiagnosed. Sinus problems and post-nasal drip can actually be a tip-off that you’re being affected by mold or fungi.

In fact, research done by the Mayo Clinic in the 1990s that strongly suggests NEARLY ALL chronic sinusitis is caused by fungi, but blamed on bacteriathen mistreated using antibiotics. The findings were published in 1999 in two peer-reviewed journals, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Mayo Clinic Proceedings.iii Yet, most physicians are still unaware of this study, or at least of its significance. A 1999 Mayo Clinic press releaseiv stated:

“Mayo Clinic researchers say they have found the cause of most chronic sinus infections—an immune system response to fungus.

The Mayo Clinic study suggests that 96 percent of the people who suffer from chronic sinusitis are “fungal sensitized,” meaning they have immune responses triggered by inhaled fungal organisms! This explains why antibiotics are so ineffective for chronic sinusitis as they target bacteria, NOT fungi. Antibiotics and steroids can actually worsen fungal-related infections by destroying your body’s natural biological terrain, creating an internal incubation ground for further fungal growth.

The bottom line is, if you have chronic sinusitis, you MUST approach it from the perspective of a fungal infection FIRST, not a bacterial infection, even if it means having to educate your healthcare provider. A good place to start is by sharing the Mayo Clinic study referenced above. The book, Mold: The War Withinv is also a useful resource.

How to Treat Sinusitis Without Drugs

For chronic sinusitis, please refer above about how to address sinusitis caused by mold and fungi exposure. The following natural treatments can help you get over an acute sinus infection without the use of antibiotics and unnecessary OTC drugs, by keeping your cilia healthy and functioning, thereby preventing excess mucus build-up in your sinuses.

Drink hot liquids, such as tea or hot chicken soup. It will help moisturize your mucous membranes, speeding up the movement of your cilia and thus washing mucus out of your sinuses more quickly.

Apply warm compresses to your face, three times a day for five minutes. A small towel soaked in warm water, placed over your face below and between the eyes, will help increase the circulation in your sinuses, which will also help speed up the movement of your cilia.

Irrigate your sinuses. In a 2007 study from University of Michigan Health System researchersvi, saline irrigation was found to decrease nasal congestion more effectively than saline sprays. It appears to work by thinning mucus, decreasing swelling in your nasal passages and removing debris, bacteria, allergens and inflammatory substances from your nose, hence decreasing swelling that makes it hard to breathe. (If you’ve never done this before, see these Nasal Irrigation Guidelinesvii by the University of Michigan.)

To make your own preservative-free saline solution, just add one teaspoon of himalayan or sea salt to one pint of distilled water. Make sure you use a saline solution that does not contain benzalkonium, a preservative that can impair your nasal function and might sting and burn.

Clear your sinuses with an aromatherapy steam bath. To help open up congested nasal passages and sinuses, put a couple of drops of eucalyptus or menthol aromatherapy oil into a bowl of hot water, then breathe the vapors. In lieu of aromatherapy oil, dabbing some Vick’s VapoRub on your skin underneath your nose can also be effective.

Unclog your sinuses with the right foods. Horseradish, grated on top of a sandwich, or some Japanese wasabi mustard can also help open up congested sinuses.

Elevate your head when sleeping.

Dust your bedroom. Dust and dust mites can wreak havoc on your mucous membranes, especially when you’re asleep and your cilia are at rest. Using a HEPA filter air purifier is also beneficial in keeping your air as free from allergens as possible.

How to Prevent Sinus Infections Before They Start

Poor food quality, excessive exposure to toxic chemicals and a high-stress lifestyle puts you at greater risk for not only sinus infection but all disease. Therefore, maintaining a robust immune system and creating an environment inhospitable to bacterial and fungal proliferation can help prevent sinus problems and infections from occurring in the first place. Here are some of the basic strategies to keep your immune system in top form:

Avoid eating sugar or grains.

Take a high-quality animal-based omega-3 supplement such as krill oil, which acts as a potent anti-inflammatory

Optimize your vitamin D levels by getting appropriate amounts of sun exposure year-round. Alternatively, use a safe tanning bed (one with electronic ballasts rather than magnetic ballasts, to avoid unnecessary exposure to EMF fields. Safe tanning beds also have less of the dangerous UVA than sunlight.) If neither of these are feasible options, then you should take an oral vitamin D3 supplement.

Consume organic coconut oil. Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid, which is known for being antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal

Avoid eating mycotoxic foods

Get proper sleep

Get regular exercise especially Peak Fitness type exercises

Diseases Connected to Mercury Fillings

by Jonathan Landsman and Dr. David Kennedy

Editor’s Note: I am sharing this article simply because there are a number of patients who inquire about the potential dangers of mercury amalgam fillings. I do not necessarily agree with everything in this article but leave it up to you to decide for yourself how you feel about the issue. I personally have not placed any amalgam fillings in over 14 years.

Jonathan Landsman and Dr. David Kennedy, an outspoken and intelligent critic of conventional dentistry reveals the scientific proof about how mercury-based “silver” fillings cause many of the most serious health conditions of our time. If you or someone you love has mercury fillings – in the mouth – I urge you to take the time and watch this video – now.

In fact, Dr. Kennedy makes one of the boldest comments I’ve ever heard about the dangers of mercury toward the end of the video. I’m sure you’ll agree — Dr. Kennedy is a blessing to humanity for his tireless efforts.

Here are a few facts about mercury amalgam fillings:

1. Causes Damage to Brain in Children
In February, 1998, a group of the world’s top mercury researchers announced that mercury from amalgam fillings can permanently damage the brain, kidneys, and immune system of children.

2. Amalgam Fillings Linked to Neurological Problems, Gastrointestinal Problems
The first large-scale epidemiological study of mercury and adverse reactions was recently completed and showed that of the symptoms looked at, there was a link seen to gastrointestinal problems, sleep disturbances, concentration problems, memory disturbances, lack of initiative, restlessness, bleeding gums and other mouth disorders.

3. Mercury / Alzheimer’s Disease Connection Found
A study related to mercury and Alzheimer’s Disease was recently completed by a team of scientists led by well-respected researcher Dr. Boyd Haley. They exposed rats to levels of mercury vapor diluted to account for size differences between humans and rats. The rats developed tissue damage “indistinguishable” from that of Alzheimer’s Disease. Repeating the experiment showed the same results. Dr. Haley is quoted as saying “I’m getting the rest of my fillings taken out right now, and I’ve asked my wife to have hers replaced too.” Also see: http://www.holistic-dentistry.com/artalzeimer.asp

4. Amalgam Fillings Since 1970s Unstable
The type of mercury fillings that began to be used during the last couple of decades, non-gamma-2 (high copper), releases many times more mercury than the older style of amalgam fillings. Also, please see the article on the instability of dental amalgam fillings by Ulf Bengsston.

5. Amalgam Fillings Release Highly Toxic Elemental Mercury
Mercury is one of the most toxic substances known. The mercury release from fillings is absorbed primarily as highly toxic elemental mercury vapor.

6. Amalgam Fillings Largest Source of Mercury By Far
Based on a number of studies in Sweden, the World Health Organization review of inorganic mercury in 1991 determined that mercury absorption is estimated to be approximately four times higher from amalgam fillings than from fish consumption. Recent studies have confirmed this estimate. The amount absorbed can vary considerably from person to person (source).

Many Uses For Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar: weight loss booster, all-purpose cleaner, stomach soother. A popular kitchen staple, apple cider vinegar (ACV) dates back to ancient times: it’s said to have been used by Hippocrates himself.

While times may have changed just a bit, ACV is still a versatile, well-known item in many homes. One of the most popular and highest-rated varieties is from Bragg. Or, you can even make your own variety at home with this recipe for Home Made Apple Cider Vinegar.

There are tons of ways to incorporate ACV into your daily routine, as you’ll see below and in the comments from Facebook fans (near the end of the post). One of the most popular ways to add ACV to your diet, specifically, is by making a tea or other drink. For example, check out this recipe for homemade Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar Ginger Spice Drink or look below for the perfect drink recipe for new users of apple cider vinegar.

Check out all of the awesome and creative ways to add the benefits of apple cider vinegar to your life, and let us know if you have any other creative uses!

Top 15 Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar:

1 Use ACV in place of balsamic vinegar in salad dressing. (See below for an awesome salad dressing recipe!)
2 Add to your morning smoothie, but be careful—it has a pretty strong taste, so add a little to begin.
3 Use it as a facial toner. Mix one part ACV to 3-4 parts water. Apply to skin with a cotton pad, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then rinse. Repeat three times a day.
4 DIY Apple Cider Vinegar All-Purpose Cleaner: 1 part water, 1 part ACV, 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil. Mix in a spray bottle.
5 Stomach Soother —Try this “Digestion Mocktail” with ACV and ginger. (Ginger is also known for its stomach-soothing properties. Learn more about ginger uses and benefits.)
6 Stop cats from biting cords around the house—rub a bit on a cotton ball and onto the cord every 4-5 days.
7 Use ACV in your bath. Add ½- 1 cup to your bath water along with Epsom salts and lavender essential oil for a relaxing and detoxifying bath.
8 I like using apple cider vinegar to get rid of hiccups—the sour taste of a straight teaspoon can stop hiccups.
9 Make a fruit fly trap—Put a thin layer of ACV in a cup with a drop of dish soap. Set it out on the counter and the fruit flies will (hopefully) fly in and get stuck.
10 Get rid of cat urine smell—add it to the laundry when you wash the clothing, blanket, etc.
11 Get rid of bad breath—add ½ tablespoon to a cup of water, and gargle for 10 seconds at a time until the cup is empty.
12 Use apple cider vinegar for a healthy throat. Mix 1/4 cup ACV with 1/4 cup of warm water and gargle every hour.
13 Beat exercise exhaustion —lactic acid buildup in the body causes fatigue, while the amino acids in ACV act as an antidote. Add a tablespoon to a glass of water after a workout.
14 Create shiny, untangled hair by adding 1/3 cup ACV to 4 cups of water and pour over your hair after shampooing. Leave on for a few seconds and rinse with cold water.
15 Use it as a teeth whitener by gargling with it every morning. The vinegar helps remove stains and clean the mouth and gums.

15 More Ways to Use Apple Cider Vinegar…

When we asked our Facebook fans how they like to use apple cider vinegar, we got tons of comments! Many of them were about drinking it in the morning with a glass of water. Our fans simply loved all the health benefits of apple cider vinegar. Highlights of the top uses include:

The Best Apple Cider Vinegar to Buy

We recommend buying an organic ACV that is raw, unprocessed, unfiltered, unpasteurized and contains “the mother.” Here are our two top recommended apple cider vinegar products.
Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother
Swanson Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother

What Is “the Mother”?
It’s a natural complex of friendly bacteria, proteins, enzymes and fiber. It gives the vinegar a cloudy appearance, but that’s good—filtered, refined versions of apple cider vinegar that don’t contain the mother aren’t as beneficial.

Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar Drink Recipe

Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is a product with a wide range of health benefits… but there are only a select few who can handle drinking it straight. Being an acidic product with no sweeteners, it can be very hard for anyone’s palate to handle, but there are recipes and homemade solutions that people make to help either mask the flavor or to work with the flavor to make a drink that is more appealing to the taste buds. The problem is that no two palates are the same, so which apple cider vinegar recipe concoction will taste the best is difficult to say with any certainty.

Some like to mix it with other acidic juices like orange juice or other flavors that are similarly acidic, while some just drink a shot of the ACV and follow it with something to mask the taste, like bread. It often takes some trial and error to see what works best for your palate, but there are some good drink recipes that tend to be popular with a variety of people that you can try starting with:

1 to 2 tablespoons ACV in 8 oz glass purified water…stop there or: Add 1-2 tsps organic honey Add a few drops of liquid stevia Add 1-2 tsps of organic maple syrup
You can also add 1-2 tablespoons of ACV to your favorite juiced veggies/fruits and smoothie recipes

16 Ways to Prevent & Get Rid of Cold Sores

By Claire Goodall
http://everydayroots.com/cold-sore-remedies

A cold sore is not welcome on your face, or anywhere else, for that matter. Not only are they cosmetically unappealing, they can be downright painful. Let’s get over the fact they’re caused by the herpes virus. We all know it, and that aspect gets far too much attention. Defining cold sores simply for what they are, they are small, fluid filled lesions that pop up generally on or around your lips. The blisters often group together, and after they break, a crust forms over the resulting sore. There is no true cure for the virus, or the cold sores. The bright side is that there are preventative measures you can take that lessen outbreaks, severity, and duration. If the bothersome blisters do show up, there are a decent number of home remedies for cold sores that may ease your discomfort, and help diminish their appearance. Just because there is no cure, doesn’t mean you’re stuck using irritating prescription face creams or having a cold sore that hangs around for an eternity.

1. Enjoy vanilla

Vanilla extract, the real, good, pure, vanilla extract, is a natural cold sore remedy some people swear by. The thought process is that its alcohol based, and running along those lines, makes it hard for the virus to thrive and either wipes it out or lessens the severity and length of the outbreak. If you do use vanilla, try and get it organic, and try to start using it the second you feel the tingling set it.

You will need…
-a cotton swab or cotton pad
-pure vanilla extract

Directions…
Soak cotton pad or swab in vanilla until thoroughly saturated. Apply directly to sore, holding the swab or pad in place for a minute or so. Do this four times daily until no longer needed.

2. Snag some licorice

One of the more random natural remedies for cold sores that you can use is licorice. Glycyrhizic acid, an ingredient in licorice root, has been shown in some studies to stop the virus cells in their nasty little tracks-or at least counteract the symptoms of them. This is thanks to its anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties. A way to glean something positive from this isn’t to go munch on a bunch of licorice whips, but rather get some licorice powder, and make a cream. You can also try drinking licorice tea daily, though that doesn’t seem as effective as topical treatment.

You will need…
-1 tablespoon licorice root powder or extract
-1/2 teaspoon fresh water OR approximately 2 teaspoons petroleum jelly

Directions…
Mix one tablespoon of licorice root powder to ½ teaspoon of fresh water, or however much you need to get the consistency of cream you want, making sure to add in small increments. Another option is to mix it with petroleum jelly, which on its own can help speed up the healing process of cold sores. If you opt for this, start with a teaspoon of the petroleum jelly and mix it with the licorice root. You can work your way up to your desired consistency from there. Gently dab (a cotton swab is handy for this) a thin layer over the sore, making sure to get it completely covered. Leave it on for at least several hours, or overnight if possible.

3. Toss your toothbrush

Throw out your toothbrush after the blister has formed, and toss it once the sore has cleared up. A toothbrush is the perfect vessel to carry the virus, and you can end up triggering an outbreak in yourself if you re-use the same toothbrush again and again. This is a preventative measure, since it can stop an outbreak or cut it short, it’s well worth doing.

4. Hands off

It may sound obvious, but it can be near an impossible to resist picking at that crusty little (or big) patch by your mouth. Almost subconsciously you can end up bothering it, or very consciously, you just want to peel it off and be done with it. Whatever your motive, resist touching the sore-even just reaching up to touch it and see if it somehow shrunk-as those actions can cause a bacterial infection. That’s the last thing you need. They are also so highly contagious that even touching your sore and then accidentally rubbing your eye, or somewhere else on your body, could cause them to spread (they aren’t confined just to the mouth, you know.)

5. Get milk

Putting a whole milk compress on your sore can help speed up the healing, and ease pain. The reason? Milk contains proteins known as immunoglobulins, which are essentially anti-bodies that fight off and prevent viruses-like herpes. It also contains l-lysine. L-lysine helps inhibit the wicked work of an ammino acid called arginine, which has been shown to cause outbreaks, and may help speed up the healing process as well. In short to prevent outbreaks, drink whole milk and get your dose of l-lysine. To help cold sores that have already erupted, make a whole milk compress to soothe the pain and fight off the virus.

You will need…
-1/2 cup to 1 cup of whole milk, plus a tablespoon or 2 extra
-cotton balls or cotton pads

Directions
Soak a cotton ball in approximately 1 tablespoon of milk, and apply it directly to the cold sore for several minutes. Before doing this you can either let the milk come to room temperature or, if you prefer, you can apply it cold. Use a clean towel moistened with water to dab off the milky residue at the end. If you feel you need it, apply a dab of petroleum jelly.

6. Wipe it out with hydrogen peroxide

Anyone who had a parent that put hydrogen peroxide on a scrape knows that it’s not exactly pleasant. The good news is that it’s a lot less traumatic to use at your own will, nor does it seem to hurt as bad now that you’ve grown up a bit. Love it or hate it, the solution can be an effective cold sore remedy. It disinfects, healing up speeding, and makes it hard for the surfaced sore to spread or worsen. The blister is already bothered and infected, at the very least virally, and keeping it clean can ultimately make it go away faster.

You will need…
-1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide
-cotton balls, cotton pads, or facial tissue

Directions
Soak a cotton ball in 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. Use more if you feel it isn’t saturated enough. Place the cotton ball directly on your sore-it’s probably going to sting-and hold it there for a few seconds, or dab it around. Let it be for 5 minutes or so, allowing it to do its job, before rinsing off.

7. Be minty fresh

Peppermint oil is thought to have properties that directly kill virus particles outside of your cells, like the ones floating around an erupted cold sore. It won’t help to ingest peppermint oil because it only attacks the virus escaped from your cells. What we mean by it being “outside” of your cells is that herpes simplex virus usually resides beneath the skin, lurking and waiting for a trigger to make it rear its ugly head. When its’ erupted, its accessible to treat with the oil. When applied directly to a cold sore, people have found that the sore healed faster than usual-especially when applied at the very first sign of one.

You will need…
-Good quality peppermint oil
-1 cotton swab
-a bit of fresh water

Directions
First, use a bit of water to rinse the surface of the cold sore. Doing so gets away some of the surface gunk that would make it harder for the oil to really sink in and do its best. Then, dip a cotton swab in clean water and then dip it into the peppermint oil. This is to dilute it a bit, making it less likely to irritate your skin. Try this twice daily until it is no longer needed.

8. Take Echinacea

There are a couple of people I am quite close to who drink Echinacea tea religiously and swear by it. Every time I come down with a bug they give me the “I am not sick now am I?” look, with a meaningful nod at their mug of tea. The reason they get away with their smugness is because Echinacea bolsters your immune system and its defenses, making it harder to catch bugs, and shortening how long you are affected by them. While not yet proven it may help prevent cold sore outbreaks which often show when the immune system is weakened.

You will need…
-1 bag of Echinacea tea
-1 cup freshly boiled water

Directions
Place your bag in a mug and pour boiling water over it. Cover-a plate works well-and let it steep for 10 minutes. Squeeze the juice out of the bag when you remove it to get all the extra good stuff.

9. Load up on vitamins E and C

Vitamins are good for us, and for our cold sores-and by good for our cold sores, I really mean bad for them. Vitamin C has been shown to boost white blood cell count, and white blood cells are the body’s defenders. When something like an infection sets in the brave little cells head into battle, and having more of them means you’ll be more effective at fighting off the infection, which in this case is herpes. Vitamin E, when applied topically, has been found to relieve the irritating and painful discomfort of cold sores, as well as minimize scarring. You can get the vitamins through an oral supplement, oil (in the case of vitamin E) and-the best way-through your diet.

Vitamin C rich foods include
-red berries
-kiwi
-broccoli
-tomatoes
-red and green bell peppers
-spinach (little did Popeye know he was onto a cure for cold sores)

Vitamin E rich foods include
-nuts
-leafy green vegetables
-whole grain
-avocados

10. Cornstarch paste

If you’ve worked with cornstarch before you’ll be familiar with its fine, almost silky, texture-it seems like it could be soothing to a cold sore, doesn’t it? I would say so, and it can indeed help relieve the itchy burning pain of a sore when directly applied. The less obvious reason as to why cornstarch makes a pleasant home remedy for cold sores is the fact that it neutralizes the pH of the sore- the virus thrives in an overly-acidic environment-and creates an alkaline state (alkaline is the opposite of acidic.) To seek relief, and shorten the duration of your cold sore, simply whip up a silky-smooth cornstarch paste.

You will need…
-1 tablespoon of cornstarch
-1 teaspoon of fresh water to start

Measure out 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and place in a small bowl. Mix in 1 teaspoon of fresh water. Add more water slowly until you achieve a paste-like consistency. Put a dab on your cold sore before bed, and rinse off gently with water in the morning. Do this nightly until cold sore is gone.

11. Dab on some witch hazel

The leaves and bark of North American witch hazel have been used medicinally for years, namely by Native Americans, and have now become quite commercialized. Nowadays you don’t have to worry about tracking down a plant and stripping off its leaves and bark since you can find a bottle of witch hazel, or witch hazel hydrosol, at just about any pharmacy or general store. Since it does not produce enough oil to sell as an essential oil, the hydrosol is a distilled liquid version. It has been shown to help with a number of maladies, particularly in skin care, with emphasis on acne, bruises, insect bites, blisters and, if you hadn’t guessed by now, cold sores.

You will need…
-1 teaspoon of witch hazel
-cotton swab or cotton pad

Soak a cotton pad or the end of a cotton swab in witch hazel. Dab directly onto your sore, and leave on. Do this 1-2 times daily as needed.

12. Grab some aloe gel

The go-to for soothing minor skin irritations, aloe vera gel can provide quick relief from the pain of a cold sore once it blisters. It also fights off bacteria that may be irritating the sore more, and may make it go away faster. Being so dependable, aloe is often touted as being one of the best natural remedies for skin problems there is. The best way to benefit from it is to have an aloe plant. They’re not hard to come by, they’re hardy (I got one when I was five and it managed to survive my care for years,) and best of all, they’re useful and inexpensive. If you cannot get an aloe plant, find a good gel sold in stores.

You will need…
-1 aloe plant OR ½ teaspoon of aloe vera gel

Directions…
Break off the end of one fleshy, succulent, leaf. Directly apply the gel to your sore. If you absolutely cannot come by a plant, dab a cotton swab in roughly ½ teaspoon aloe vera gel and apply directly. Leave on.

13. Ice it

Looks aside, cold sores hurt. They can really, really hurt. Think about what they are-little fluid filled boo-boos that burst, blister, and form a crust. Kind of like constipation, they aren’t taken very seriously. If you complain about constipation pain-which can land you in the E.R., by the way-all people think is “poop” and then they tune out. With cold sores, most people think “herpes” and then move on-especially since cold sores are so common. To numb the pain that some people just don’t understand (and the injustice of it all) try holding an ice cube directly on the sore for as long as possible, and then put on a dab of petroleum jelly. The jelly will help keep bacteria out, and will lessen that tight, skin-splitting sensation that sometimes happens when a blister gets too dry, as it might after using an ice cube. It’s along the same lines of how licking chapped lips makes them worse.

You will need…
-1 to 2 fresh ice cubes, or an ice pack
-A bit of petroleum jelly

Directions…
Take a nice chilly ice cube, which would be most of them, and hold it on your sore for as long as possible, or use an ice pack. When you’ve finished, pat any obviously remaining water gently from the sore and apply a dab of petroleum jelly.

14. Wear sunscreen-even on your lips

Exposure to light, namely UV light, seems to be a very contributing factor in outbreaks. When you hit the beach, or even just go for a summertime stroll, apply sunscreen to your face, and apply lip balm with an SPF value of no less than 15. Indeed it may take you longer to get a crazy tan, but it’s a very, very, small sacrifice to make when you think of the painful cold sores erupting, and damage to your skin.

15. Wash it all away

You don’t have to go dump every single thing you own when you get a cold sore, but like your toothbrush, its best to get rid of some things that come in contact with your lips/mouth area-such as lip balm, or make up tools. In addition to this, wash your hands each and every time you touch, or even think you touch, your cold sore. While you’re always contagious, it’s easiest spread the virus when there’s an open blister and you may keep causes outbreaks if you continue using contaminated items.

16. Quarantine right away

The moment you feel the tingling sensation that precedes a cold sore flare up, start your treatment. Since there is no “cure” sometimes preventative measures work best, and nipping it in the bud seems to help boost the effectiveness of the treatment afterwards well as shorten the sores existence.

When it all comes down to it at the end of the day, you have a virus that will never go away completely until a true cure is found for herpes simplex. That being said, your world does not have to come to a crashing halt when a sore pops up. Use common sense, try to get to it in the beginning, and patiently treat it, keeping in mind that the remedy that works best for you will probably take some trial and error. Since you’ll probably be living together for a while, it’s good to remember that the less you bother your cold sore (i.e. picking at it or using unnecessarily harsh chemicals) the less it will bother you.

Wet…or dry? A word on cold sore living conditions

There are generally two chains of thought when it comes to treating cold sores. One is to dry them out, while the other is to keep them moist. Some people say the virus festers in a moist environment, others say it makes no difference and you’ll be uncomfortable with a dry, cracked, split, scab.

There isn’t much official research done on this, but from personal experience, I’d have to toss in with the “wet” lot. Putting a dab of petroleum jelly on a sore is a life-saver. The pain of a dry scab ripping open again and again is too much for me-not to mention I WILL pick at it if it’s all crusty. Perhaps with a bit more clout is the Mayo Clinic which, according to their website, also endorses the moist route for treating cold sores.

127 Great Uses For Coconut Oil

by Dr. Alison Chen, HBSc, ND

While traveling through Thailand, my partner and I joked about buying a coconut plantation because it seems that everything now-a-days is coconut based!
coconut oil
coconut butter
coconut shreds
coconut water
coconut milk and cream
coconut flour
and even coconut soya sauce (try it, it’s actually delicious)

Coconut (C. nucifera) belongs to the Arecaceae (Palmae) family and the subfamily Cocoideae.

The flesh of the coconut is very high in healthy fatty acids. The composition of fat varies depending on the type and processing of the oil. Medium-chain saturated fatty acids make up approximately 90% of coconut oil with a slight contribution of monounsaturated fatty acids and poly-unsaturated fatty acids.

What’s so good about Medium Chain Fatty Acids?

Medium-chain saturated fatty acids (MCFA’s) are easily digested, absorbed, and utilized by the body, while freely crossing the blood-brain barrier in the unbound form, which means it can be used by the brain as an energy source but also for neurological health. What’s also great is that virgin (unrefined) coconut oil is affordable, readily available, delicious and completely natural. It’s also…

Anti-carcinogenic (prevents the spread of cancer cells and enhances the immune system)
Anti-inflammatory
Anti-microbial/ Infection fighting (bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi, parasites and protozoa)
An antioxidant (protects against free-radical formation and damage)
Improves nutrient absorption (easily digestible; makes fat-based vitamins more available to the body – ie. vitamin A, D, E, K)
Nontoxic to humans and animals

Coconut Oil for Personal Hygiene and the Body

1. Age Spots (also known as liver spots) – applying coconut oil directly to the age spot will help it fade.

Cancer and Much More Cured By Cannabis Oil

sc-marijuana-site

The US Government has known since 1974 that Cannabis cures Cancer. In ’72 Richard Nixon wanted a larger budget for his war on drugs. He thought that if he proved Cannabis caused lung cancer like cigarettes do, he would get the support he needed. He gave the Medical College of Virginia 2 years to do a study on the effects of THC on the body. In ’74 the study was completed. It turns out, THC when ingested in highly concentrated forms (such as eating Cannabis oil) will attack any mutated cells in your body while strengthening and rejuvenating the healthy cells. They found the PERFECT cure for Cancer. It worked fast, it worked well, it worked on many different forms of Cancer in ALL stages and it had ZERO harmful side effects. (Unlike Chemo which deteriorates your entire body and kills 1 in 5 patients. Not only that, but it dissolves ALL forms of tumors and can even combat super-bugs like MRSA.) When Richard Nixon saw the results of the study he was FURIOUS. He threw the entire report in the trash and deemed the study classified. In 1976 President Gerald Ford put an end to all public cannabis research and granted exclusive research rights to major pharmaceutical companies, who set out — unsuccessfully — to develop synthetic forms of THC that would deliver all the medical benefits without the “high.”

We only found out about the study a few years ago thanks to dedicated medical and law professionals who filed Freedom of Information Requests. The Govt lied for many reasons.. One of the main reasons is Pharmaceutical Companies. They spend billions every year lobbying to keep Cannabis illegal because they make TRILLIONS off Cancer drugs and research. They are already well aware that Cannabis cures Cancer. They have a great con going at the moment. Cancer patients and their loved ones will spend their entire life savings or even sell their houses and businesses in order to pay for Chemotherapy and other Cancer treatment drugs. A lot of the time they spend all that money and their loved one dies anyway. If the public found out that the Government has been lying for over 40 years, that MILLIONS of lives could have been saved and that the dying could grow the cure they need in their backyard… The Public would be going APE-SHIT.

PLEASE keep an open mind about this. I realize it’s hard to believe but I PROMISE YOU, it’s true. If you want to know more, you should Google ‘Cannabis Cures Cancer’. You will see that there are thousands of published scientific studies, articles, books and documentaries on the subject. I’d start with the film ‘Run From The Cure’. Its one of my favorites

medical1(Comment from the author): I feel the need to be EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAR here because many people have attacked me for sharing this information. SMOKING CANNABIS DOES NOT CURE CANCER. EATING CANNABIS OIL DOES. There have been A LOT of skeptics about this. I highly suggest you actually RESEARCH THIS SUBJECT rather than demonize the people that have already actually researched it. Cannabis DOES CURE CANCER… This is not a rumor, this is not some internet hoax.. THIS IS A FACT. Every single person I know that’s tried this cure, has successfully cured their cancer. Do you get what I’m saying? I KNOW PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT BE HERE TODAY IF IT WEREN’T FOR THIS CURE. Plenty of people have posted proof online. Check before you doubt!!

(Editor’s Note) It has been suggested for some time that the THC in cannabis is highly anti-cancerous. When you read the report below you will discover why it has been suggested for so long. I don’t know that that report is true but I wouldn’t be surprised. Because I believe that God has provided on earth everything that man needs to cure all his ailments and ills. And to do it naturally. According to the report it is not the smoking of marijuana but physically ingesting cannabis oil that kills cancer cells. Here are the main reasons that I believe the report. Number 1: I do not trust the federal government for anything at any time. Number 2: I trust the pharmaceutical industry and its lobbyists even less. Number 3: as a creationist I believe that God has made no mistakes and never will. Everything God has put on the earth has been for a reason. I am not suggesting that you use marijuana or cannabis oil. I am merely suggesting that you read the report and the references below and make your own decisions. Number 4: it is widely known that the consumption of alcohol which is legal is responsible for many various crimes, DUIs, broken homes and serious addiction. But the consumption of marijuana has never been proven to lead to any of these things. Contrary to popular propaganda marijuana tends to cause a calming effect, a mental introspection, and it has been shown that driving under the influence of marijuana causes people to be more careful and drive slower because they are aware of the influence of the drug. If the government was really concerned about the population not being under the influence of dangerous drugs they would have outlawed alcohol and nicotine generations ago. Obviously that is not the government’s concern.
